The 1816 Plantation Home

How long since I have posted anything here... seems forever ago... somewhere in a dream perhaps.   Much time has passed and much has changed in my life.    I am newly diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis.  Can you imagine the surprise, but not a surprise in a way.  I am determined however to keep all that business on the back burner of my thoughts and work on accomplishing all the things I yet wish to do before the Lord carries my soul from this earth.  God willing that I shall see all my dear departed loved ones again, for I miss them all so very much.

In this the Year of Our Lord, 2018, summer is fast upon Georgia.   My back garden has become a buttery for all the birds and small animals whose homes are near.  They are gracious enough to sometimes leave me a little harvest.  My blackberries and blueberries are long gone.  Such a bumper crop this year would be divine!  I must tell you however, for the past two years, a cardinal and his wife have partaken in the harvesting of all berries.  Being the gentleman, the male cardinal  is so kind and caring and he picks the fruit while his wife waits safely nearby, then feeds her.  It's all quite lovely really, an inspiration for a delightful Beatrix Potter story!  Perhaps, a Stacy French story.

Getting back to what is happening in my life these days,  we have been in our newly built home for just over 3 years now.   We are yet to be settled in as rooms are not decorated and my tastes are changing as to color and design.
I did select area rugs for the 3 bedrooms upstairs.. that's a little progress.  I will post more later as life is taking me from my moment of blogging.
